PRESS RELEASE
August 2006 For Immediate Release
WIPtrac UpGrades Backend Processing for Semiconductor Fabs
Santa Barbara Analysis, the developers of WIPtrac MES Shop Floor Control Manufacturing Execution Software,
announced the upgrade of WIPtrac to further enhance its Semiconductor wafer BackEnd processing capabilities.
This is an upgrade that allows a semiconductor plant to track both wafers and die as the process moves from
wafer fabrication to wafer probe, dice, packaging and test.
According to Daniel Clark, Director of Communications for Santa Barbara Analysis, "We have included numerous
new features that facilitate this tracking easily. New System Transactions like Probe, Transform to Die Count,
Good Die Adjust, Linked Part Transfer and Linked Part Convert allow for the configuration of numerous ways of
moving your inventory from wafer to probe, to test, to packaging, to finished goods, keeping track of yield all along the way."
"Several of our installations have begun migrating from their previous WIPtrac configurations that track die to
take advantage of these new features. They have simply created new traveler flows for the backend portion of
their fabs using the new transactions and moving their Lots onto them."
ABOUT WIPtrac:
WIPtrac MES or WIPtrac Manufacturing Execution Software is 100% Browser Based running in an Internet Web Browser.
In todays tight economic times, WIPtrac makes sense in factories where staff
to configure and maintain the MES systems are lean. The entire
application can be installed on servers inside the factory or hosted off site by
Santa Barbara Analysis.
"If you can get to Yahoo! then you have the capabilities to run WIPtrac."
WIPtrac's Primary Features Are:
80% of the Functionality, at
20% of the Price and is
200% easier to configure and use than typical HighEnd MES Systems.
WIPtrac offers:
High Levels of Traceability
Instant WIP Work In Process Reporting
Detailed Configuration Options
High Levels of Flexibility
. . . coupled with
Capacity for Rigid Factory Controls
Statistical Process/Quality Control Integration
On-Line Manufacturing Drawings
On-Line Manufacturing Specifications... and more.
The WIPtrac WEB Interface is already familiar to users who have
surfed the web so training costs are reduced considerably.
